This is where you can find information about my stories and their respective characters. This site will update as I share more about them on Cara.Please do not use, take, or heavily reference any of my work.

All of my stories take place on a planet called Eltusia.My two main stories are called Risk and Misguided. The rest of the characters that may be featured are from a smaller work-in-progress called Olnis' Call, or are less important standalone characters.

Risk

The one with the assassins.

Risk is a story full of assassins, lies, and secrets. It takes place in Amoria, a country haunted by a silent genocide. The assassins behind the genocide are known as "Reapers."Amoria is also home to an organization called TALON, which stands for Traveling Avian Liaison Operations Network. This organization uses large birds called Harbinger Falcons to relay important messages swiftly and without risk of interference.The story follows an Avian Emissary named Tristan, and his journeys as he slowly unravels the truth about the ongoing genocide.

Misguided

There’s something fishy going on here.

Misguided is a story about a poor, workaholic fisherman named Grant.It takes place on a mostly lawless and dangerous island country called Arenrot. Life for Grant has always been focused on his survival alone, but an unfortunate catch leads to a shot at becoming like an older brother to a strange fish boy… and accidentally uncovering a lot more than he bargained for while he's at it.Life for Grant is rapidly turned upside down, as he suddenly has two mouths to feed, and a massive secret to keep.

Olnis' Call

Do you think it’s all true?

Olnis' Call is a story that will follow an unlikely trio as they travel to the more remote parts of Eltusia, trying to unravel the truth of the past, and free a society plagued with fear.

Below are my character permissions. These are my preferences for drawing my characters, especially during Art Fight. Thank you!

I’m very flattered that you are interested in drawing one of my characters! Before going any further, please take a minute to read my Fanworks Policy. Any fanwork violating this policy is prohibited. This policy is just a general idea, since I can’t realistically cover everything. Please just keep it respectful and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask! My characters are part of a large world with complex histories, cultures, and details that I would prefer are not misrepresented.

✦ I don’t mind blood with most characters, but please avoid excessive gore.
You can check the individual character pages for more information on this.✦ You can draw our characters together if you’d like, so long as it isn’t ship art.✦ In that regard, please avoid ship or suggestive art of any of my characters unless otherwise mentioned on their page.✦ If you want to draw any of my characters together, just make sure they are from the same story (indicated by the color of the background they appear on). The only character that appears in both is Fafnir.✦ I understand that some of my characters have complex outfits, so if you’d like to simplify them, that’s alright with me, just try and keep it it close to the character’s vibe. (If you’re unsure of what to do, a modern AU is okay too. You can draw Cozen in a pajama onesie, or Fafnir in a band tee with fishnet sleeves, or Goose in a silly (SFW) T-shirt, it’s all good.) The only thing I ask is that the characters themselves are not altered, as far as things like skin tones, facial features, and body types.

Tristan Sylvester Neil

✦ Bio //---- This is Tristan, the protagonist of my story Risk. He’s the grandson of the founder of TALON—which stands for Traveling Avian Liaison Operations Network. It’s a long, fancy name that basically means they deliver super important messages using cool birds.----Eltusia is afflicted with a disease called Wilt, and that’s what's responsible for the scarring on Tristan’s right eye. It's a disease plaguing many countries, but most notably Tristan's home, Eldris, has been especially ravaged by the disease in recent years.✦ Personality //----He’s a super sweet kid, and he can be kinda happy-go-lucky to the point that it’s annoying to some—but how can he not be? He’s got a super fun job, a super neat falcon partner, some awesome friends… basically an ideal life. Nothing could ever change that, right?

✦ Character Specific Permissions/Information* //• Feel free to simplify his outfit, and Notch doesn’t have to be included. (It’s okay, she’ll get over it.)• He’s half Amorian, but his mom’s genes were way stronger, so he primarily looks Eldrian. That means he has fangs and a purple tongue. His ears are also a bit longer than a typical Eldrian’s because of that.• You can draw him with Felix! Usually them being together involves Tris being a dork and Felix being annoyed about it, but I promise that’s just how they get along.• You can also draw him with Lucien! Like I said above, Lucien's basically like his unofficial uncle—he’s known Tris since he was a kid, so the two have become pretty close.*My fanworks policy can be viewed here for more general permissions.

Felix Fitzgerald

✦ Bio //----Felix was friends with Tristan as a kid. Tristan spent the earlier years of his childhood in Amoria before moving to the neighboring country of Eldris around his pre-teens. They end up meeting again as adults, and Felix has a lot to catch Tristan up on. Things started out a little messy at first—some blood may have been spilled—but it’s all good now!----For the most part, he’s all talk—he has a really mean face, but he’s a big softie deep down, I promise. He’s spreading himself way too thin with his dream to save everyone, and maybe even end the genocide if he can help it, but it’s hard to not be so passionate, especially after the loss of one of his closest friends. Soon after that loss, Felix quickly left the country. He moved to Lerani, and he now works with a team that intends to cure Wilt.✦ Personality //----He’s perpetually exhausted, and about the only thing that can instantly lift his mood is spending time with his nieces. He adores them. (Hard to imagine this guy crawling around pretending to be a beast with a four-year-old on his back, but it happens.) He’s very meticulous, but primarily in ways that save him time or make his life easier, like having a wardrobe that consists of mostly one color. He’s not very materialistic or bothered with his appearance, he’s got so many other things to worry about.

Style his hair however, leave his glasses on or off, doesn’t matter.• Amorians have dark desaturated teal tongues, and their pupils glow in the dark. Felix is known for having a very piercing gaze—yellow eyes are rare—you can draw them glowing in the daylight too.• You can draw sorta suggestive art of him, but he’s incredibly modest. Like he lived in a desert and wouldn’t be caught dead with his shirt off, or even in a tank top, so…• You can draw him with Tristan. Usually them being together involves Tris being a dork and Felix being annoyed about it, but I promise that’s just how they get along.• You can also draw him with Lucien, but they don’t get along the greatest. Lucien has no problems with Felix, but Felix just doesn’t like him for some reason. …Or at least he acts like he doesn’t. Lucien Sinclair

✦ Bio //----He’s been working for TALON for over a decade now and has gone from a reckless hedonist to a pivotal figure in TALON’s hierarchy. Ten years ago, his house was set on fire by a freelance Reaper—a wannabe vigilante who assumed he was affiliated with the wrong circles. Reapers are tasked with seeking out and eliminating people with the ability to heal. Lucien lost everything that day: his home, his sister, his previous partner—a Harkening Hawk named Nocturne—and his body was badly damaged by the fire. In an effort to prevent the same thing from happening again, driven by paranoid delirium, Lucien begged to have what was left of his most damaged limbs amputated, to prevent rumors from spreading again. He wanted to make sure any suspicions of his affiliations with healers were dispelled. After making this decision, his soon-to-be fiancée ended their relationship, embarrassed by what Lucien had become.----Lucien’s injuries and losses caused him to become a bit of a recluse, and he spent most of his days holed up in an office. With nothing else to do, he quickly rose up the chain, and in Amoria’s TALON Wing, he’s considered second in command.----His Harbinger Falcon, Hollow, is his everything now. He’s the most loyal companion Lucien could ever ask for. He helps with the things Lucien’s limited mobility prevents him from doing, and he’s been trained to respond accordingly if Lucien’s PTSD causes him to freeze up.✦ Personality //----Lucien doesn’t very often leave his office. He’s very knowledgeable, and can be overly professional while he’s in his work mode. If you ever snap him out of it, he’s actually extremely easygoing. He’s a very patient and understanding man, and he’s a lot of fun to be around. He’s got a surprisingly good sense of humor, and when he laughs, everyone laughs with him. He does have his off days though—and on those days he can tend to overindulge, attempting to drink his worries away.

✦ Character Specific Permissions/Information* //• Feel free to simplify his outfit, and Hollow doesn’t have to be included. Believe it or not, Hollow isn’t actually attached to him.• Amorians have dark desaturated teal tongues (almost like the color of his uniform), and their pupils glow in the dark.• Mildly suggestive Lucien art is A-Okay. He literally never leaves his office. You can’t convince me he wears pants the whole time he’s in there.• You can draw him without his prosthetics I guess? But then he can’t really do much of anything. His arm ends a bit past the shoulder, and his leg ends a bit above the knee.• You can draw him with Tristan. He doesn’t leave his office much, but Felix's brother-in-law owns a tavern, so the three sometimes go there after hours so there’s no one around to stare at Lucien.• You can also draw him with Felix, but they don’t get along the greatest. Lucien has no problems with Felix, but Felix just doesn’t like him for some reason. …Or at least he acts like he doesn’t. Remington "Cozen" Skinner

It's pronounced like "cousin"

✦ Bio //----Cozen (pronounced “cousin”) is one of many assassins known as "Reapers." These mysterious killers have an unknown origin and are infamous in Amoria for their role in the kingdom's disappearances and murders.----Cozen, an Elver, came to Amoria to make a name for himself— both literally and figuratively. His family name, "Skinner," was well-earned; he comes from an underwater mafia-like family that lives up to their gory name. Now that he’s in a new place, he’s abandoned his family name (and his dorky first name) and goes by just “Cozen,” severing all ties to his past life.----Unlike most Reapers, Cozen genuinely enjoys his work. He’s way too happy to be here. Standing at just 5’2", he’s small but agile, often using stealthy, indirect methods to get the job done. Once he has a target, however, he tends to go a little overboard—he’s easily the most likely Reaper to torture a target before ending their life.✦ Personality //----Cheerful and impulsive, Cozen can be a handful. Most of the other Reapers can hardly stand him and his antics, but he’s great at his job, so he gets to stick around. He’s easily excited by the simplest things, like living somewhere where the seasons change. He gets obnoxiously festive for every holiday, and he is never not smiling. It can be scary though, when he uses his friendly charisma to lure in a target. Cozen isn’t really against anything to complete a job. He’ll befriend a child only to turn around and kill their parents. Don’t be fooled by how cute he is, he is by far one of the most dangerous Reapers.

✦ Character Specific Permissions/Information* //• He’s an Elver, so the dark patches around his eyes are basically scale birthmarks.• Cozen is tasked with eliminating Amorians. They have a deep teal blood, but he doesn’t discriminate—you can draw him covered in red blood too, he’s always up to something.• You can draw him with or without his mask and cloak. Oh, and he owns literally every weapon under the sun, so have fun.• He’s just a little guy. Be kind to him. Fafnir

✦ Bio //----Fafnir is something of an enigma. He arrived in Amoria one day, and almost immediately took up work as a Reaper. All anyone knows is that he used to be a pirate, and that’s only because you can tell by how he dresses. (Though the 3-inch platform pirate boots seem a bit excessive…) He doesn’t say much, and no one knows his true age, real name, or much of anything else about him. All they know for certain is that he exclusively responds to “Fafnir,” and apparently, being an assassin pays better than life as a pirate.✦ Personality //----Describing Fafnir as stoic would be an understatement. Nothing seems to ever get a reaction out of him. He is a highly efficient and skilled assassin, and there’s basically nothing else to know about him. He hardly speaks, and if he does, it’s probably because he’s frustrated about something.

✦ Character Specific Permissions/Information* //• Fafnir’s outfit is complex, I get it. Feel free to simplify it. As long as he’s wearing black, basically anything goes. Don’t make him look stupid.• He has a lot of tattoos that I don’t have decent references for, so maybe just leave his torso/arms covered if you’re concerned about accuracy. (Sad, I know.)• He has very vivid, neon green, snake-like eyes.• You want to draw him killing someone? Great! Just make sure it isn’t a woman or a child, Fafnir has a strict personal code.• He hates running—actually he refuses to run. If you draw him killing someone, he’s not chasing them first.• As a Reaper, Fafnir primarily kills Amorians. This means any blood involved will be a deep teal. Since he was formerly a pirate though—Rotters have red blood. He can also be covered in that.• He works with Cozen, and Cozen is annoyingly cheerful to everyone, you can draw them together, Cozen loves antagonizing his coworkers.*My fanworks policy can be viewed here for more general permissions.

Amante Toth

✦ Bio //----Amante is one of the few Reapers to go by his real name, and make no effort to hide his identity. He’s by far the most empathetic and amicable of the bunch, believing that he’s simply providing the public a service with the assassinations he carries out… perhaps due to Amorian propaganda? After losing his wife and unborn child, he had little reason to stay in Lerani. When word spread that strong, capable individuals who weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty were needed, Amante answered the call. He stands at a reasonable 7’7”, needs reading glasses, and he’s an all around, really big—little guy at heart. (Who also beheads people.)✦ Personality //----Amante is probably the most normal of the Reapers. Like most Leranites, he’s a very sweet and gentle soul. He’s a family-oriented, super chill guy. He’s definitely the “dad friend” of the Reapers.

✦ Character Specific Permissions/Information* //• He has two lip rings in the center of his bottom lip, and a bridge piercing. His tail is also pierced. His most frontward dreadlocks are intertwined.• He wears his wedding ring on his left middle finger now. Those bands on his arms are gold.• You can draw him mildly suggestively if you’d like. Grant Fletcher

✦ Bio //----This is Grant, and he’s the main character in my story Misguided. He works as a fisherman, and honestly only cares about one thing: surviving. He’s the eldest son of a sailor—an awful man he has no relationship with. His father’s attempt to numb his pain with alcohol destroyed the Fletcher family. Grant, being the oldest, was left with his father, while his mother took his baby brother and never looked back.----Grant lives and works all over the place now. Thankfully, he has friends with businesses who try to hire him and help him out, but sometimes his pride gets in the way of letting them do too much. Because of this, he’s always working himself to the bone. One night, instead of sleeping, Grant decides to head out on the water and try his luck, since fish have been strangely sparse lately—but what (or who) he discovers ends up changing his life (and perhaps driving him a little bit bonkers).----He catches a fish boy, has a shot at being the older brother he never got to be, and maybe even accidentally uncovers a government conspiracy while he’s at it... but don’t worry about that.✦ Personality //----Grant needs to always be moving. He is a very driven and focused and constantly striving towards his goals. Lately, that happens to be survival. He is hard-working and sometimes overly serious. Sometimes his laser-focus leads him in the wrong direction, or has him forgetting to take care of himself. He’s a good guy deep down, but he can tend to stray off track, especially when left to himself for too long. He has a hard time with empathy, especially when dealing with Aaron. He’s so used to being alone that caring for a second person tends to be a bit of a struggle.

✦ Character Specific Permissions/Information* //• Another one of those characters that you can draw mildly suggestive art of with him just existing handsomely, I don’t care. He’s just not a massive show-off about it, so don’t be too extra.• Literally any of the pieces from his outfit reference can be combined with anything else— just maybe don’t leave him in only his underwear, that’s weird.• You can change how he wears his hair if you’d like.• The bite on his arm is bullseye shaped, from two sets of teeth. Aaron has teeth in his throat, which caused that strange pattern.• You can draw him with Aaron, they have a chaotic sibling relationship. Aaron Caella

✦ Bio //----This is Aaron. He’s an Elver kid who was unfortunate enough to wind up in Grant's net one night. While the overwhelming majority of Elver keep to themselves in Nelve, Aaron’s parents weren’t so interested in… basically anything typical. In Nelve, not having legs is considered uncouth and primitive—which to Aaron’s parents, was just an outdated and arbitrary way for Elver society to discourage anyone from ever leaving. (A long and convoluted way to say they don’t believe in feet, basically.) His parents adore exploring, and they still roam the oceans together. …Did they forget they have a son? Um, maybe. But they meant well, I promise. They love their son—they’re just a liiiiiittle bit absent-minded.----Did being abandoned so young impact Aaron’s behavior? Um—maybe just a smidge. But it’s okay, he’s cute.----When Grant first finds Aaron, he’s suffering from some pretty severe injuries. Grant reluctantly rescues him, nearly dying in the process. That encounter kinda sets the tone for the rest of their relationship, honestly. Every day with Aaron is a new (often unfortunate) adventure. One of the first times Aaron reciprocates Grant's attempts at care involves him setting Grant's pants on fire, so…----They’d hate to admit it, but the truth is, Aaron and Grant have a lot in common. They’re both lost and lonely, and eventually, they’ll become like brothers—all the bickering and fighting included.✦ Personality //----Aaron tends to have the tact of a small child. Y’know how kids will walk up to someone and point out their biggest insecurity with a straight face? That’s about what his personality is like. He’s overly curious, with no real understanding of social cues. (But it’s okay, he’s cute.)

✦ Character Specific Permissions/Information* //• You can draw him with or without his tail, on land or underwater.• He loves eating, especially as soon as Grant brings in a fresh catch. He’ll just messily eat the fish raw, so you can draw him bloody from it.• Don’t do anything weird, he’s literally a kid.• You can draw him with Grant, they have a chaotic sibling relationship. Tobias "Rooster" Ransom

✦ Bio //----Rooster here is not exactly the best guy. He’s an eccentric fellow with a green thumb, and he happens to be known for selling certain…⋆˙⟡medicinal herbs and substances⟡˙⋆ if you catch my drift.----He’s a lot more dangerous than he looks. Most folks living in the capital of Arenrot know his name— and that they should avoid him. He has connections to certain folks in power— and dirt on most of them, which he uses as leverage to protect himself and the few he trusts.----That said, if you can get past the aura of creepiness that seeps from the guy, and you don’t mind being watched constantly as he towers over you… then he’s actually a pretty chill dude. Just be careful to always call him Rooster, and not Tobias.✦ Personality //----Rooster is an odd bird. At a glance you wouldn’t know how dangerous he truly is. He is blunt, confident, charismatic, and very well known in Arenrot. He uses this to his advantage, and tends to use his intimidating reputation to get away with being a menace to society. While he can be a violent and aggressive force to be reckoned with on some days, on others he can also be a wild and chaotic party animal.

✦ Character Specific Permissions/Information* //• Rooster is an absolute wild card, and for the most part, I don’t care how you draw him. Keep it SFW of course, but suggestive art is okay. He can pull off almost any style, so have fun with his outfit. Dress him like a cowboy, put him in crocs, or just leave him as-is. It’s all good with me.• He has a gap in his teeth, and a slightly sickly look to his skin, especially around his eyes and lips. He has thick bushy eyebrows with a slit through the right one. His nose is pierced.• He smokes very frequently, if you’d like to draw him with a cigarette.• He’s very close to Calypso, but if you ask them to define their relationship they’ll both wonder what you mean and say they are just best friends. You can draw them together, but they aren’t exactly lovey-dovey with each other. Just very close. (…Especially when under the influence of something.) SFW ship art of them is okay, just nothing too sappy. They’re just bros. …That kiss sometimes. Don’t worry about it.• Goose is basically Rooster’s self proclaimed #1 fan, he’s the one that decided that the duo should become a trio—including him. Rooster tends to ignore most things that come out of Goose's mouth. He sort of just wildly rambles in the background at all times. You can draw all three of them together, but Calypso is much friendlier with Goose than Rooster is. Rooster is usually just shooting Goose's crazy ideas down constantly, and trying his best to keep his distance.• All three members of this trio can tend to be very reckless party animals. Calypso De Le Rosa

✦ Bio //----If you’re familiar with my character Rooster, you won’t often find him without a couple of friends. The second member of this odd trio is Calypso, who has been one of Rooster's best friends for most of her life.----Calypso is one of Arenrot’s most successful tattoo artists, responsible for the majority of the tattoos seen on the characters in Misguided. She’s extremely loyal to Rooster and wouldn’t hesitate to leave a tattoo unfinished if he needed her help with—anything, honestly.----Calypso is always up for everything—perhaps to a fault—and has definitely found herself in a lot of trouble because of her connection to Rooster. But she wouldn’t have it any other way. When she’s not working, or by Rooster's side, she’s likely partying with Goose, and always causing chaos.✦ Personality //----Calypso is impulsive and very energetic. About the only time she’s sitting still is when she’s working on a tattoo. She is always up for anything, especially when Rooster is involved.

✦ Character Specific Permissions/Information* //• Calypso dresses in a wide variety of styles, so you can have fun with her outfit if you’d like.• She has heterochromia, so her right eye is blue, and her left eye is brown.• The tattoo on her neck is a monster’s mouth, with fangs around her neck, and an additional row of teeth inside the monster’s throat. The rest of her tattoos are blackwork that cover much of her body. The ones on her arms end after covering her shoulders.• Calypso prefers alcohol to cigarettes, though you’ll sometimes find her smoking with Rooster.• She’s very close to Rooster, but if you ask them to define their relationship they’ll both wonder what you mean and say they are just best friends. You can draw them together, but they aren’t exactly lovey-dovey with each other. Just very close. (…Especially when under the influence of something.) What they don’t know is that in reality he has essentially been adopted by Arenrot’s most infamous drug dealer and his best friend. But hey, what they don’t know won’t hurt them, right?----Goose is by far the strangest member of the trio. Having him around has taught Rooster and Calypso to always expect the unexpected, since life with Goose is unpredictable. Those odd tattoos on his chest? They happen to resemble the plant that, in its processed form, becomes Goose’s favorite… pastime.----His relationship with Rooster is a lot like that of a fanboy with his favorite celebrity. Rooster doesn’t call him Goose—and often he doesn’t remember his name at all. Occasionally he might refer to him as “Lee,” but for the most part, Rooster is tuning out Goose’s crazed ramblings. Goose’s relationship with Calypso, however, is much closer—she’s practically adopted Goose, and in her eyes, he can do no wrong. ✦ Bio //----This little guy’s name is Alistair, though his creator typically refers to him as “Alis.” On one hand he would rather not be called that, but on the other, he would much prefer any name over a number.----Alistair is painfully aware that he isn’t like most other people, and has spent the majority of his short life inside of a laboratory.----Being a mostly failed experiment, his skin, scales, and hair can only retain their pigment for short periods of time. In those times he sometimes sneaks out, attempting to blend in with the regular people he wishes he could be a part of. Appearance aside though, Alistair would also have to get over his unusual appetite for bugs and blood to really blend in.✦ Personality //----He’s very skittish and timid, and extremely insecure about his unusual appearance. He barely ever speaks and spends most of his time just quietly observing, or doing as he’s told.

It genuinely seems like there are two versions of him at times. ✦ Bio //----Spalst is a personification of the unique second season in Eltusia.----Spalst falls between Brym and Solyn, and it’s much shorter than the other seasons. It occurs over the entire month of Quell, and its effect on the climate actually depends on which hemisphere you live in.----During Spalst, there’s less of a change to the actual temperatures, and more just unique phenomena that occur during the season. In the northern hemisphere, where Amoria is—and where my story Risk occurs—Spalst causes an entire month of constant, dense fog. In the southern hemisphere, in Arenrot—where Misguided takes place—the effects of Spalst are much more subtle. The same microorganisms cause bioluminescent waters, and the oceans faintly glow over the entire month of Quell. Many Rotters take advantage of this by bottling up the water to use as lanterns for a short time.----Spalst is represented by an Amorian, though her 50/50 design is totally unique to her—meant to symbolize the duality of the season she represents.✦ Personality //----Spalst is a quiet and deep thinker. She is not easily excited, and seems to always have something wise to say.

✦ Character Specific Permissions/Information* //• Spalst is the only seasonal character without white pupils, due to being an Amorian. Because of this, her scleras are green, her irises are white, and her pupils are blue.• Spalst is by far the most dangerous season in Amoria, since the Reapers know to take full advantage of it. …Except for Cozen. ✦ Bio //----Embris is Eltusia’s fifth season. It’s a lot like what we’re used to with winter.----Embris here is an Elver, so he would live in a place called Nelve. The Elver have a very rich and tumultuous history, and for the most part keep to themselves—since Nelve is inaccessible to anyone incapable of breathing underwater. Nelve is a small country that acts a lot like a natural greenhouse. It’s built within a crater in the ocean, but sealed with water on the top—so the city stays relatively dry, but also warm and humid. Nelve doesn’t experience seasons like the rest of the planet because of its location.✦ Personality //----Embris is a bit of a reserved fellow. Like most of the seasons, he tends to lean introverted, but he can really open up around the people he’s closest to. He prefers to spend his time indoors, working on things like writing, or reading.
